The Atlantic Anchorbacks kicked off their ESHC campaign in dramatic fashion last night, securing a 4-3 overtime win against the visiting Boston triggers.

The hero of the night was center Declan Rousseau, who intercepted a stray pass in the neutral zone before executing a flawless breakaway deke to slip the puck past the goaltender's glove side just two minutes into the extra period. The Anchorbacks showed resilience, battling back from a two-goal deficit in the third period thanks to a relentless power-play effort spearheaded by defenseman Wyatt Gallagher.

"We showed a lot of grit tonight," Head Coach Marcus Vance said post-game. "Falling behind early isn't ideal, but the communication on the bench stayed positive. Rousseau showed exactly why he wears the 'C' for this squad."

The Anchorbacks look to carry this momentum into Friday night's matchup when they head inland to face a physical division rival.
